The Young Women’s Leadership Academy is open to girls at all academic levels who want to achieve and go to college. Rigorous coursework and personalized counseling will help them transition from grade to grade and from high school to university. The YWLA is made possible by a partnership between the Fort Worth ISD and the Young Women's Preparatory Network (YWPN). We are supported by our local Foundation as well, The Foundation for the Young Women's Leadership Academy of Fort Worth. Fort Worth ISD based its YWLA on the best practices of proven models: the Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders in Austin and the Young Women’s Leadership Schools in East Harlem and Queens, New York.
